The following was taken from the Yorkshire Regiment website

Died of pneumonia 3 Jun 1918 aged 40 in Clipstone Camp Hospital. Eldest son of John Wilson, cabinet maker and upholsterer of Blenavon Cottage, Yarm and the late Elizabeth Wilson, his wife. He had been born in Stockton and enlisted there in Oct 1914 while living in Yarm. Forest Town (St Alban) Chyd, Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts

Yarm1914 believe that William Henry was born in 1878, first son of John aged 25, an insurance agent and Elizabeth, nee Vickers aged 25. In 1881 they lived in Cherry lane, Stockton. they were wealth enough to have a servant charlotte Dennis aged 16. William Henry had two brothers Albert Vickers Wilson and John Cecil Wilson. By 1891 the family had moved to Church Wynd in Yarm and were joined by Florence Maud, then 5, Harold Stan aged 2 and a nephew William G Galenby aged 10. John was now a cabinet maker and by 1901 had moved to the High street. William Henry was a branch manager, Albert was no longer living with the rest of the family. In 1911 William Henry was a draper and living with the Page Family in the Fleece Inn on the High street.
William Henyy's brother John Cecil signed up and survived the war. John percival Page who lived with William Henry in the Fleece Inn was not so lucky and died of wounds 10 Apr 1918 aged 21.
